Concord CA with a population of over 125,000 is by far the largest city in Contra Costa County. It was once known as Todos Santos (meaning “All Saints” in Spanish), but a short while later became Concord. However, the downtown plaza still bears the city’s original name and plays heavily on its pre-California Spanish history. It was incorporated as Concord California in 1905.
