San Ramon California is located near the junction of Highway 680 and 580 in south Contra Costa County, between Danville and Dublin.  It has 58,000 residents.

San Ramon is headquarters of Chevron Corporation, the west coast operations of AT&T, and 24-Hour Fitness Corporation.  It is also the home of the San Ramon Medical Center.

Public education is a high priority of the San Ramon community.  Its public schools are part of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) , which operates two high schools, four middle schools, and eleven elementary schools in San Ramon.

San Ramon is known for its trees, parks, and recreational facilities.  It is served by the Iron Horse Trail, a former rail line that was converted to walking, jogging, and biking paths stretching north all the way to Concord.

Overlooking Bollinger Canyon Road and San Ramon Valley Boulevard sits Memorial Park, so named to honor San Ramon resident Tom Burnett and the other victims killed on Flight 93 during the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

San Ramon dedicated a memorial tree program to honor local residents who have passed, and a plaque dedicates the surrounding meadow as part of that program.  The park was dedicated on September 11, 2002.

In addition, the Fostoria Way over-crossing in San Ramon was renamed the Thomas E. Burnett Jr. Memorial Bridge in his honor.
